Recycling Center

What can I bring to the Recycling Center

 

WE HAVE TWO LOCATIONS TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY.

6688 BELLS FERRY RD (HOBGOOD PARK) ACCEPTS SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING AND GLASS.

470 BLALOCK RD ACCEPTS SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING, GLASS AND ALL PAY ITEMS.

 

  • ALL CARDBOARD MUST BE BROKEN DOWN FLAT BEFORE ARRIVAL!
  • ALL SINGLE STREAM RECYCABLES MUST BE IN A CONTAINER!
  • (WE WILL NOT UNLOAD LOOSE MATERIAL FROM YOUR VEHICLE.)

  • Acceptable Items  (Fees may apply, check price list page)
  • The Hobgood Park location only accepts Single Stream Recycables and Glass.
  • Clean Food and Beverage Cartons (dairy, soy, almond, broth, wine, juice, soup)
  • Paper
  • Pastics 1 and 2 only.
  • Cardboard (ALL BOXES MUST BE FLATTENED BEFORE ARRIVAL)
  • Appliances (Blalock Rd Only)
  • Bagged Household Trash (Blalock Rd Only)
  • Glass (Glass must be food grade and clean) No candles, cookware, coffee mugs etc.
  • Batteries (Blalock Rd Only)
  • Flat Screen TVs, LED, LCD or Plasma only. (Blalock Rd only)
  • Flat Screen Computer Monitors (Blalock Rd Only)
  • Mattresses (Blalock Rd Only)
  • Paint (Blalock Rd Only)
  • Styrofoam (Must be bagged and bags must be closed or tied. (Blalock Rd Only) 
  • Power Wheels kids vehicles, plastic play sets and sheds etc.  (Blalock Rd Only)
  • We accept all electronics with the exception of tube televisions and CRT computer monitors. (Blalock Rd only)
  • We accept all metal but if item is not listed on the price list we will have to see it to provide fee. (Blalock Rd only)

WE DO NOT ACCEPT THESE ITEMS!

*NO COMMERCIAL RECYCLING. (This includes small home business) Pickens county Recycling Center will accept commercial material.

  • Tube Style/Projection Televisions
  • Light Bulbs of any Type.
  • Unbagged household trash.
  • Household Furniture made from wood or plastic (metal only will be accepted)
  • Hazardous Materials such as:
  • Motor Oil
  • Antifreeze
  • Tires
  • Building Materials such as
  • Home Remodeling Materials
  • Construction Waste
  • Vegetation of any kind (unless bagged. $3 per bag)
  • Loads of any material larger than what would fit in the bed of a pickup truck or SUV.
