(June 4, 2026) – Families and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to celebrate Father's Day weekend at the Georgia Outdoor Festival & Expo on June 20-21 at Cherokee Veterans Park.
The two-day festival, taking place from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, will celebrate everything that makes Georgia an outdoor paradise, including camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, outdoor recreation, art, food, educational seminars, live demonstrations, vendors, and more.
“We are super excited to be hosting the inaugural Georgia Outdoor Festival & Expo,” said Cherokee Recreation and Parks Director Jay Worley. “This has been a dream of ours for several years now to watch our Natural Resources Division grow by expanding on outdoor recreational activities for all families to enjoy. It is the perfect event for Father’s Day weekend, and we hope you spend it with us at Cherokee Veterans Park located at 7345 Cumming Hwy in Canton.”
Designed for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages, this event will feature a variety of exhibitors, vendors, and outdoor experts showcasing gear, guided adventure services, artwork, apparel, camping equipment, fishing and hunting products, and more. Food vendors and entertainment will also be available throughout the weekend.
As part of the festival, a cornhole tournament will be held on Saturday, June 20. Teams of two can compete for prizes in a tournament featuring a three-game round robin format followed by a single-elimination bracket for the top eight teams.
Cornhole tournament details include:
- Check-in: 12:30 p.m.
- Tournament begins: 1 p.m.
- Entry Fee: $50 per two-person team
